Cell Processing Suites

The Cell Processing Suites are designed and equipped for the manufacture of cells for cGMP cell therapies and ex-vivo gene therapy applications. Waisman has four Cell Processing Suites that can be used individually or in tandem for segregation of processes within a project. These suites are furnished with specialized equipment for cell processing, allowing the production of adherent and suspension cultures.

Special Features:

  • ISO Class 7 (<352,000 particles/m3, 0.5 micron particles) rooms
  • Separate Air Handler Units (AHU) providing single-pass air with terminal HEPA filters
  • Negative room pressure relative to the surrounding production areas for contamination prevention
  • Medical grade carbon dioxide, oxygen, and nitrogen
  • Rees Equipment Monitoring System

  • ThermoForma Sericult 200 incubators
  • ThermoForma Series II Water Jacketed CO2 incubators

  • Sorval RC3BP centrifuges
  • Parallel plate single-use cell culture vessels (multi-tray cell factories) for adherent cell lines
